problem

hello everyone, ive recently become a member of this great site, and it seems a few of you are clued up on computers.

when i delete my history etc. all visited sites are erased except two which always appear on the address bar when i type a new address.

i wouldnt mind but i dont live alone so it could be embarrasing

can anyone help?

Hi dj7. I know what you shall do if you use internet explorer.
Only small problem., my browser is in norwegian language, so I'm not completely shure what every name is in english - but I'll try:

Rightclick on the internet explorer icon on your desktop.
then click "properties"( I think believeit says)
then click "contains"

On the bottom it should say "personal information" or something like that.

And the first button under there should say "auto-complete" or s.l.t.
click that one

then it should show "delete auto-complete" near the bottom, and under there on the left is a button wich should say something like "undo forms" .
Click this one (not the one about passwords on the right)
then click ok and go back and check

I beleive the drop down address bar information is stored in the registy. The best way to remove it is to use a program "12Ghosts Wash" or "Windows Washer" both work great I have used both. I can't remember if you need a code for windows washer you can get them at

These programs will clean everything so make shure you set it so it does not del your home page info or you will probably have to reset everything.
