Posts Being Deleted?

Anyone else having or noticing problems of posts being deleted on the board? Or am I just going crazy :think:

Guys....HIJACK ATTACK


MDFF's been under a hijacker attack over the past couple of days....The bastard's been deleting posts from entire forums...


John just restored the forum from backup no more than two hours ago - which means that anything that happened between the last back up (as much as a day ago) and two hours ago were not restored (i.e. they're gone).


John & his team are doing all they can....Until he gets it under control, it might happen again - and posts could get lost....So, hang in there while they work on it.

BEST REMEDY -

All members should save their posts on Wordpad as backup (till the server backsup) so if this kind of thing happens, they can easily repost some great threads... like I have done with my story, saved on backup.

NB : I don't think the posts are deleted, maybe they are just not linked to the forum, since I still have my post count from last time. IF one knows the thread ID's I am sure one can relocate those lost posts, but then again that would be exhaustive in the least...

I don't have much of a choice...I wouldn't want some of my customers thinking I didn't reply to them or that I'm ignoring them. I'll have to either do that or repost all my replies to customer questions that are now gone. :(

yes thats why its wise to save replies on Wordpad. its just for two hours as Downunder007 says the forums backs up this often. So every two hrs you can update your Wordpad :D

Sorry, guys....my fault....I haven't been here to keep a good eye on the forum and this is the natural result without my being here all the time...people get away with more than they should...this kind of attack is attempted every day of every week, but I am generally around to stop it or make it meaningless...but not this week! Anyway, in reality no big deal...life is WAY too much fun to worry about people and their toys, and I have my revenge by living an actual life,as do all people who aren't so socially retarded that it makes them happy to have other forum members unhappy...think about the personality level that kind of person is on and you will feel much happier about your own life..trust me, it works! ;)

You're like an uncle to me or something :) It is too bad that you always need to keep an eye on things here because of low life retards who wish harm to this forum and it's members.
