Hey guys,

I'm a member at smother.com and have a ADSL connection but still have trouble viewing the streaming clips because they are choppy and jerky.

I used to be a member at smothered.com and they allowed you to download the streaming clips which made things a hell of a lot easier.

I passed this idea onto the guys at smother.com but they are not interested, not fair considering I was paying $40 a month for a limited service.

You guys out there do you have any suggestions or ideas on how I can make the clips run smoothly without jerkiness or stop and start flicking or does this affect everybody?

best thing would be to download the movies and then view em coz i am sure adsl doesn't take that long to d/l

if you get to view the whole video even though it may be chopped up, it should have downloaded into your temp file, so you should be able to go into your temp file and open it up. i think that's how it works

The streaming videos don't load into your temp file. They go directly to your video player. You probably have to get another video player. Try either real player or windows media player. Both are free... you can download them from the net.

or you can record the stream with a program which is specific for rm or asf type media available on the web and then play it later.

Where would I find such a program on the web and what is it called?
