Keeping MDFF Legal....and Alive....

One of the things that keeps MDFF open is that we try to make sure we do not violate content laws. If we violate those laws, we risk the very existence of MDFF.

So, as a minimum, we have to be aware of anything that's posted in our Forums that may breach the law.

Some of the MDFF Rules enforce applicable content laws. Moderators try to keep an eye on this as much as they can - but they can't see everything, in every forum....Therefore, Mods need your help...

If any member of MDFF sees something posted that is a breach of our rules, then please alert the Moderators straight away....its the responsibility of all members (and is in their own best interest) to report potential problem posts.

How to Report a Post to a Moderator

At the top-right corner of each post is a “hazard sign” icon (see below). If you click on that sign you’ll be taken to a screen where you may enter text to explain why you’re reporting the post, and a Send Report button to send your message to the Moderators of that Forum.

If you are not sure whether a post violates a Rule then report it anyway. Allow the Moderators to make the final judgment, and take action if necessary. As the old adage says, “better safe than sorry.”

Again, it is in the interest of each member to help the MDFF Team to keep MDFF free of illegal and hazardous content. Please keep that in mind as you peruse the Forums.

You only have to see how many newcomers don't read & follow the rules to see why this post is necessary !

Yes, indeed you have, Rennoch - and its been very helpful...In fact, members of the FS Forums are especially good at keeping the place in good shape, and keeping an eye out and reporting breaches...

....However, I'm still seeing rule breaches...So, its not always about a 'new' message - its often about a 'reminder' message...

And, bfrug got it right, too....New players all the time, not all of whom follow the rules...
