smother.com update clips problem

the last two sets of clips have at least one clip each that is "broken" as in unseekable, and since it's DRM'd, it's not fixable form this end... can you look into this john or someone?

when i download the clips, they PLAY, they just can't be SKIPPED AHEAD... an i've DLd them 4 times as test now... all 4 times they refuse to jump when i click on the lil bar.

winxp, window media player 10. but i know it's not my player because i can player the other clips form other updates and skip just bloody fine! what did u download, the low-res versions? the 1,000k ones are the ones f***ing up for me.

edit: just did a test. yes, on both yesterdays and today's clips in the 1000k clips, there are borken ones, but the 512k ones seem to work normal. i don't want the low quality ones though, can someone please tell someone so this can get fixed?

I have this problem wth SS 369, as well as 367_1, and 358_2 (all high qual)

Any advice?

Playing with Windows Media Player 10.

PS You must use Windows Media Player to play DRM protected clips, right?

I downloaded the 512k clips, not the 1024k clips, I haven't had a problem with the 512k clips. If you get seeking problems then just download the 512k and make do with that for the moment until the 1024k is fixed.

that doesn't fix the problem, which is what we're reporting... that there's a PROBLEM, not a workaround. :\

It's a temporary solution, just wait for John to get his tech guys to fix the 1024k clip and make do with the 512k clip for the moment. It's what I'm doing.

This is defiantely a re-curring problem. I just downloaded the newest SS slicps, SS368 (the 1000K files), and some too ARE NOT SEEKABLE.

John, can you make your tech guys aware of this and have them go back and fix these clips (and the ones mentioned in the above thread)?

i JUST re-tested, in case it was changed tonite.

every single file listed is STILL unseekable. in addition, today's pic post... has no pics.

you may need to whip your site manager - this seems to happen every time you go away for a few days.

You have to re download the clips. They work fine now. Re downloaded all the clips I listed above that would not seek, and now they all do.

they work now, but they didn't yesterday at 3:00am. i had re-downloaded them, and tested, at 3:00am. now at 10, it seems at least the 1 is working, hven't checked the rest.
