If you are not receiving your confirmation email, it's because you were not using a correct email address when you sign up. You MUST use a valid email address so the software can send you a confirmation link.

Seeing about 200+ of this kind of thing per day...

Cleaned out a couple hundred lamers with bad email addresses today...we'll see how many tomorrow!

What's weird is, I see the same guys over and over trying bogus emails that don't exist...lol...

John, in Holland, we say, they must be a natural blonde! It is not only for this site, when you have to confirm your password or to activate an account!
Do you have any idea, why they don't want to use their real emailaddress?
With some sites they don't accept an yahoo or hotmail address. Maybe this forum can do the same!!

We originally banned free email addresses because it made it harder to control trolls...nowadays we have enough software, and more importantly, super intelligent moderators, that the troll situation is moot...so feel free to use hotmail or yahoo or whatever..

It's amazing how stupid people are sometimes. Probably be a good idea to just ban their IPs for being such idiots.

I had to come up with a cleansing system to delete unconfirmed accounts that were made up of fake undelivered emails. Some people are also so paranoid, they don't want to ever use their real email, but those dimwits shouldn't bother surfing for feature rich functionalities on the internet if they're that paranoid. Live in a shell if you're that paranoid, that's my thoughts.

I hate it when people sign-up with fake emails thinkin they'll just make it through the system.

it's people using scripts to create accounts on forums and then post stuff.
They get an account on a forum and then post stuff on it with links to sites that they want to boost the ranking of.

Unfortunately it's almost impossible to stop.
