Picture post problem

When trying to post a picture (for the first time) I keep getting one of two messages. One is a message that says "web site not responding" and the other says "gateway timeout" I need some guidance here. Is this the problem that other contributers refer to or is it possibly something I'm doing wrong?

I am trying to attach j-pegs from my hard drive using the attach file function, step by step, in the new thread area when this occurs.

Thanks guys. I've a few photos in both a folder on my HD and also on a floppy. I guess I'll just keep trying until I can make a connection.
