The French had a great war hero.
He's the one who came up with the idea of putting a white flag on the pole.

you are getting confused with the vichy government and are greatly disrespecting the untold men and women who served so proudly in the french resistance!and this comment is coming from a new zealander y'know we did suffer the indignity of state sponsered terrorism (rainbow warrior)!i however hold no grudge against the french.talk of white flags....how about poland austria holland belgium............ i notice that the french through the power of people successfully overturned legislation destined to strip the rights of young workers ah if only americans could mobilse like that......whose flag is white now?

FAIR ENOUGH NO OFFENCE INTENDED!Just replying to a comment made about hurricane katrina is all!i honestly believe that any statement made about katrina should be answered in kind.too much happened AFTER the storm for there not to !what went on should be discussed in full!if that is not the intent why post a title with katrina in it?isnt that the whole point?my comment wasnt anti bush, hes just the guy in charge ,i know what his administration has and has not done.trust me,if it was someone else in charge i would have stated the same irrespective of thier name!
