Snow in the Mohave Desert!!

Just when we all thought it was time to start seeing sandals and halter tops here it is cold as hell and snowing in the fricken Mohave Desert! I haven't seen any snow, at all, all year long until today when it suddenly dumps on us like my roomates dandruff and the mountains are covered all the way down to the very base, in March!! We get some wicked floods out here and I'm eyeing those mountains rather suspiciously... I feel sorry for the folks back east if I'm seeing it here like this on the west coast.

A portion of your garden? lol, lucky bastard, I have a lot of great landscaping ideas, I simply need the property and the money now to give them a go. Actually I wrote this thread on the day it snowed here, but when I woke up the next morning the snow was gone :( That desert sun even in the winter takes no mercy on anyone or anything. I hear it is snowing a crap load still closer to Vegas as the I-10 seems to keep getting shut down according to the radio. I live 80 miles outside of it and haven't gotten the pleasure of seeing it snow again though.

I know that the gardens in the USA on average are much broader and bigger then here in the Netherlands due to the fact that the USA is such a big country and has more space for private home's and grounds
