Hello All

Myself and the wife have a private trample life and we don't usually take pic's or even do videos. Recently I joked to the mrs that we should do some clips and post on the clips for sale website and earn some money from them.......she then made me fall off my chair and who much would we make?????

So advice needed is for people who have already done this, please can anyone tell me roughly how many individual clips have they sold and how much does clips for sale take from profits????

i don't get the two replys that I have had ????????????

I am one of the first people two say that I hate people who use this site just for their own personal gain. I cannot stand forum members who don't reply to other peoples post and just advertise the clips for sale products .
I would like to think that I am a person who likes to involve myself with this forum as I reply to others who have spent time and effort in making this forum great.

Still after advice...........

I haven't done this, although I have thought about and possibly will one day, so I have no advice for as of yet.
However...
I wanted to reply to your thread just to say that I don't think you should feel like you are spamming or 'using' this board for your personal gain; chances are, if it weren't for you being a member of this forum you probably would still have no idea that making trample clips and selling them on the internet for a couple extra bucks was something a regular joe could even do, am I right?
I see nothing wrong with your question, so please don't feel you're wronging anyone by pursuing this further. I hope you make a buck or two!

Hey Matty,

The Mrs and I have a clips4sale site...I am not comfortable discussing how much we have made from it and honestly I don't feel it is appropriate for you to ask others how much they have made from their stores.

However I will tell you this, if you were go full at it and post a new clip a day and people like your stuff and you update that frequently then chances are you will make more money than if you only post let's say once a week, or once every two weeks or once every month...

Another way to look at it is that clips4sale doesn't cost you anything to put up a store...so even if you only made $50/month for sharing clips of you and the wife doing something that you would do anyways is it a bad way to pick up an extra $50??
I say go ahead and set up a store and give it a try because truth of the matter is that you do not have to spend one penny out of pocket to set it up.

Also you should realize that once you set up the store and you start selling clips you obviously then will have customers. Customers entail responsibility such as replying to their e-mails, requests, etc. The way you handle this will definitely affect your sales. It can end up being more time consuming than what you might expect. Also how you price your clips, what quality of video you will sell, what aspect of the trample fetish will you specialize in and will you cater to dial up users as well? If you decide to cater to dial up users as well are you going to have to upload a lower quality clip than what you might want to sell? All of these scenarios along with many others will play a role in the success of your store. As you progress with your store eventually you will find the balance of what works best for you and the wife. Essentially it is a business and like any business, you will get out of it what you put into it.

I hope this info helps.

Good luck with it if you do decide to give it a try.

Many thanks for your reply atyourfeet1/

Sorry my question should of been worded better and I hope that I have not offended anyone selling clips. I am not trying to find out how much individual people are making profit from these stores, just a bit of knowledge about the percentage clips for sale charge and on average not specific if someone had made one clip how many people have bought it i.e 10+ 20+ 50+??????

Many thaks for your advice again atyourfeet1/ as not even thought of people on dial up as something to think about....

i had a clips4sale.com site for about a year. my site did fairly well, lets just say it paid the mortgage payments which free'd up a good amount of cash for other bills and what not.
I think if i remember right they take 30 or 40% of your sale price so you get 60% of each sale. ( i hope i'm not breaking any rules by laying this out, i'm just trying to help).
The price of your clips are determined by the length of the clip, not how big the file is or anything like that. so a 7 min clip goes for something like $6.99.
you'll need an FTP program to upload to their servers and then you upload a pic or gif image, its really simple. I had no website experience or anything like that, i'm very computer literate but i'm far from a wiz, i'll be first to admit that much. still its a step by step kind of thing so really its not hard. Also if you have questions they give you a number that store owners can call or you can email the guy and he's always good at getting back to you quickly. they're very helpful.
Other good points: you dont pay for your site, so if you make money you make money, but at the very least you dont lose anything.
also the more often you update your store the more time it spends on the main page people see when they enter the store, that helps your sales BIG TIME so its to your benefit to update your store once a week or more if you can, but once a week will turn good results.
All in all its a win win situation, you cant lose anything but maybe 30 minutes of your time uploading, thats about it.
I found it fun, its exciting to upload your new clips and seeing how they do. You start experminting with different pic sizes and clip lengths etc etc. Also other owners are really cool and tend to give tons of advice, i got all sorts of help from others on what camera's are good, how they made their gif images, what kind of lighting to use etc etc.
Like i said i hope this helps and i hope i'm not breaking any rules by giving a little inside info on clips4sale. I think its fun and a good time.
Its sad that more and more people think its spam when you list your updates on message forums like this, i used to add tons of pics and list links to free photos of all my clips. I did it to share, more than to sell my clips. but back then i didnt get people telling me to stop, i got a lot of thanks and lots of helpful hints on what people wanted to see. If you just make a post and list your site without contributing any pics or sample clips then yea your a spammer as far as i'm concerned. I think the best site are the ones that freely give lots of photos or sample clips, its always worked for me and more importantly if we all gave pics and clips it makes ( i think) more people willing to want to participate and contribute as well, again win win situations are always best.

Hope this helps

That is the reply I wanted and yes you hit the nail on the head. It is a great idea to post your products on here , maybe John might set up a clips for sale forum area on it's own so people can advertise more and pay a small percentage to John for the privalage??? The main point is the same as juiced1000 said perfectly that people who use this forum for advertising and giving nothing in return are spammers. Just a few lines to give advice or even state many thanks to other users is a forum.
Petrek2000 is I think (correct me if I am wrong) the biggest poster on this site and he advertises his great work that he produces, and is always is one of the first to give the thumbs up to another forum member to aknowledge their good work...........

Thanks Matty, i wasnt sure if i was gonna get shit on for what i said but your right, there are some people that contribute huge amounts of pics and clips that are related to what they're tryin to sell. the more you give the more you get, thats not just here but in life in general.

I don't understand, why can't this guy ask the questions he asked? If you feel the answer is private, PM him.

Maybe it's just that your question should have been posted in the "discussions" forum, and not in the "pics" forum. I can't think of reason other than that. Good luck with your venture brother!

Hey born2Bflat, the guy asked a reasonable question TOTALLY unrelated to the thread you posted. I am now very really curious how one becomes a SENIOR member to this forum?
