View Full Version : FS with Corel Draw ?
What do you think about Corel ?
This is one of my last tries (cause one has to become more than
a hundred years for finishing a pic) to create a FS drawing with this awfully good program.
Have a look .... and if the one or the likes this kind of FS art,
Iīll create some more - otherwise it was a nice try.
(converting it into a jpg decreased picture quality - sorry..)

Please produce some more if it doesn`t take too long. :worship:
Hi Stevo,
whatīs your desire ? Give me an idea - tell me what you
would love to see.
Of course - it will take itīs time. I donīt promise anything - I will
just try it.

Very well done Mario. Indeed with Coreldraw it takes time. Layer by layer. By the way Photoshop is the same sh.....
But of course we are interested. Hope you gonna try some more.

Mario, I like your stuff. Keep up the good work! Just BE CREATIVE! ;)
Thanks SugarJ,Eyeshot and Stevo28 for encouraging me.
You say it, eyeshot : all these nice progs arenīt really helpfull.
But they look important, are expensive and you can spend
a lot of time on learning all the funktions you donīt need.
Well - if you have made the same experiences with those progs,
I feel better now. Thought itīs me being too stuipid using them.

Great job !!!
You would have to love your own work TOO, to put that much time in for just a few replies.
Again, nice work!

Hi Mario.
I don`t know what to suggest. I don`t know Corel at all so I don`t know what is/isn`t possible.
I loved the pic you produced, more of the same would be fine by me.
If its too much work forget it, I`ll leave it totally up to you.
Your efforts are really appreciated by us all.:worship: :worship:

I love it !!, thanx Mario. Tell me, how did you produce this fine pic or what methods are used, I can surely use them, can it be done with the adobe program, any advice ? :D

Jesus! Corel's clip-art samples have certainly improved since I last used it! What version do you use? And what category, lifestyle, entertainment or what?
Just kidding. Mario, that is a work of art. You must spend so much time on your hobby that I'm beginning to think you must be a man of leisure. But I ain't complainin' - hell, just keep on keepin' on there boy!
Thank you very much for all you contributions, from one of the often too silent majority members (albeit only junior).:2guns: :)

I canīt explain all the details. (I remember someone saying that
this is a FS forum - and heīs right).
I use Corel Suite 11.
First of all I create a szene (the people) with poser4 - so I
get a realistic pose of the "actors".
Then I import this into Corel and digitize it with a digitizing pen.
Now I have a vector modell of the pic.
Then I look for the needed parts - that means, I look for real pics
that have parts (e.g. a leg, a face..) that I like.
The choosen picture becomes the background of Corel.
Next step is resizing the whole vector modell to the size of the part I like to work on. (e.g. the leg)
This is a great advantage of a vector - you ever keep the proportion.
As next I make a snapshot of that area containing the vector and
the bitmap.
This pic now goes to a knitting machine program, which creates
a pattern number map of the colors.
Now I know the different color layers for that part of the pic.
Back to Corel I delete the background and draw the layers
according to the knitting pattern.
This way I carry on till the picture is ready.
Perhaps thereīs an easier way - but this is how I do it.
That's quite a hobbie. If ya enjoy doing it that's all that matters.

Thanx for the details, Mario, I see what you meant about taking up a lot of time, :D
Can you produce characters that look like celebrities?
Wouldn't it be neat to see a Jennifer Lopez sitting on Cameron Diaz's face. These might look even better than the fake pics that are being posted here from time to time.

I could never draw or use Corel that well, I envy those that can. With drawings you have the ability to draws things that can't be photographed. Your only limitation is your imagination.
Anyway this is a very good drawing.
Please do more.
Later~
Hi Mac4,
as Lone Stranger already says : the only limitation is your
imagination...and the time I need for creating.
This picture took me more than 200 hours...and sometimes
I should also work a bit.
Because Iīm no artist, :o I need to have something as a model.
The "easiest" way of creating a drawing is to draw from an
existing pic.
To create something of your choice I do need a pic of the faces
and a pic of a scene (for Poser).
The only thing you should know is the fact, that I canīt work on
faces - because they are not threedimensional. (thatīs the same
problem you have working with Photoshop)
A fake pic can be as good as a drawing - if you have HQ pics.
I didnīt liked fake pics till a few weeks ago.
But they have reached a quality now, thatīs hard to be exceed
and I started collecting them.
And by the way : If you would have seen ALL my pics,
you would like EVERY fake you ever have seen before. :D

Wow... I'm assuming that there was a picture before that, or did you do that from scratch, because that is an awsome picture. None of my pics that I've drawn have EVER come out that nice.

Hi MrCrypt,
I would be a lier telling someone Iīve done the pic from scratch.
No - this was just the one Iīm satisfied with.
I canīt count the other ones....most of them are just horrible.
Like to see an example of an earlier drawing ?
Iīm not so satisfied with this one - but it shows that Iīm
improving from pic to pic.
Perhaps you recognize who it is - or who it could be.
...and for the mistress : hope you donīt mind me doing that.
