son of a freaking bitch... that was messed up BIG TIME, i just wrote a story to this forum, for the last 2 hours i was writing it, yes.. 2 hours i was sitting here writing it in this same message space as i write this, i click "Submit New Thread" after i am done with it all, and it says.... i am not logged in, that is bs, i was logged in, i couldn't even click new tread if i was not signed in, then... THEN, i do sign in and it said thanks for signing in, and instead of sending the story, it says i have not specified a forum and to please select, so i press back... and my story is gone, i am so pissed off here, SO FREAKING PISSED OFF, this is the second time it did that to me, i am done with writing stories now, 2 damn hours, it was so excellent also, man.... grr.... forget it, i am sorry everyone,i wanted to write you all a new story, and this happened to me, anyone even know why it did? i am furious

I always write my stories in Microsoft Word first.
Then I can read over them, make changes, & edit.
When I'm happy with the finished product I copy & paste it on this page.
I've lost lots of stuff the same way you lost yours. Just start over again in Word. I know it doesn't help the fact that you lost all that time and energy. Just don't let it happen to ya again.

Most forums recommend that you first write your post in Word or something before you post as forums have a nasty case of 'lost work when re-loading etc.'
Stories are great on this site and some can even better than pictures.....words speak more!
Please please please post some more but remember to write it in Word or something first.........then copy....and paste! easy! And yes, I have been done with that!
I work for a footy site and they even have it recomded but I thought 'better of it' and wrote out a whole article in the forum window........ALL GONE with lost connection.....doh!

You can also highlight the text with your mouse and then hit Ctrl+C simultaneously. This will copy the text in case you somehow lose it. To replace it , hit Ctrl+v simultaneously. This is only temporary, and will be lost if another copy function is used, or you shut off or restart the computer.
I'm sorry that happened to you. But you wouldn't be the first for that particular incident. I too work now in word before posting a story here. Save it first to disk that way it will never get lost. I know this doesn't help you from what has already happened but as it was stated before me, we enjoy stories as much as pictures here and we would appreciate you posting new material. Good luck from here on out.

So what you are telling us is...... somewhere in cyber space is a master piece of verbatum which has taken many hours to create... alas the poor lost post.... No doublt it will end up gathering dust next to the few i have lost (all short thankfully) and the many others this fine group of people has mislaid.
It is a lose we shall help you bare with wise words and thanks for the efforts which have been swallowed into the cyber black hole affectionaly called "Billus Gatesius IV"
Or you could give it another go another day when the pain has eased a little..... Trust me we all know how you feel..

if you do not interact with a site for a while you can be timed out by the server and have to log back in, next time , highlight the text and copy it before you submit just in case so you dont lose it . if somthing goes wrong just sign in and past it again .
good luck .
