There was nothing normal about Maggie. Not her entire life.. And not now. Her friends would have told you. "Maggie? Oh.. Now I believe it." Because she did everything backwards. Everything upsidedown.. Like someone took a camera and turned it upsidedown.
And like now.. for fun. In a dark alley. Stalking a lowly scraggler. A man with a cigarette. You could tell because the drag coefficient of his wake left circles of spinning smoke that glimmered in the light behind him. And he kind of knew, the way the fictitious spider sense knew, that he was being followed. So he was rushing because it was dark. And he was alone in that back alley.
And Maggie followed him. A hint of moonlight casting definition on her shadow. A beautiful woman.. Tall.. Slender.. Muscular.. With long black hair.. and wearing all black.
And when she pounced on him he was completely taken by surprise. A surprise that seemed to never end. Because when she got him down to the ground she wasn't done. And she straddled him and huddled around his head with a gun and said in a soft, quiet, and seductive whisper: "You're going to make me happy."
