View Full Version : A new threat!
Someone doesn't like that he couldn't have the username "fuckyou", so he is threatening to destroy the forum...here is the email..
"as i type this email accounts are being
generated...soon after i will have multiple accounts.
you will not be able to delete user names fast enough.
all efforts by you will be laughed at. all of this is
done by software i've made. you will be officially
fucked and there will be no way to stop it that
doesn't also hurt the forum. all this because you kept
deleting my account just cause it said fuckyou....well
you'll be fucked the 7th...moron"
Now, I don't know if he can do it or not. I know I could do it so there are others that can, too...just an advance warning for forum members that if it happens, I'll be closing down the forum for new registration, and if need be, closing it down permanently....hosting a forum for appreciative people is one thing...hosting it for malicious people is quite another. :D

anyhow.... i just started a "clique" today on yahoo..
http://groups.yahoo.com/groups/footsniffaspeeps
not sure what it's gonna be yet (it'll be comprised mostly of my real life friends and online friends)... basically i place for me to hold court.. i'm not certain yet if i'll have it fetish oriented yet (since quite a few of my friends don't dig that shit)... but i just like having my own place, where i can keep out the fakes, spammers, etc.. anyhow.. if anyone cares to join, please feel free, but be forewarned you'll be denied if you have a blank profile.. and if you really want in, just send an email, and u'll be in (since spammers/bots don't use follow e-mails for denials)
and like i said, right now i'm not sure where i'm going w/ this group, i may try to incorporated every aspect of my life (including my fetishes) or have separate pages for different aspects of my life

Hi John. I am sorry to hear such sad news. Do you have some information about this person? some logfiles? I am not proffecional "hacker", but if you have his IP number and e-mail, post it and I will try to track and make some troubles to him.

Could he be blocked at the IP level???
I have seen this type of problem before elsewhere, Registration had to be suspended for over a month before the problem resolved it's self!!!!
Some people need to be found and shot....why can't everyone just mind the rules!!!!
Hey, Neo96 - I am relatively adept at tracking people.. :)
As far as blocking, there is only so much that can be done...in reality, no one could ever stop me either and there are people better than I am...he's a student at the University of North Florida and I have contacted the admins there to make sure how long the IP info is kept in case it becomes necessary to require it...log files show that it was being used way before the necessity for spoofing would have become appropriate. However, there is only so much time I will waste before saying the whole shebang ain't worth it....
I have heard back that now he doesn't want to see the forum removed and that "I should have emailed him"- Like I have time to email everyone who looks like they want to disrupt the forum! Anyway, notice will always be given should action need to be taken, so that the community as a whole doesn't get disrupted and loses a cohesive place to gather together....no worries! :D
lol, another "hacker" case, huh? I've been a hacker for several years, those people give hackers bad names. in the hacking business, we call them crackers. A hacker is a person that tries to protect people with firewalls, stop back-door DOS programs, and the latest patches, most people think a hacker is someone that destroys other's computers, this is know as a cracker. Usually when teens get pissed, they threaten others with cracking into their computer. All they do is blow off steam, there are a lot of people that know how to hack, but most started for dos. If you would like to be a hacker however, were always looking for more. We need some people on the good side for a change.

Nail this sick bastard....:2guns:
John,
Personally I know absolutely nothing at all about computers... and maybe I am being a bit naive, but obviously everyone is here purely because they share our "particular" interest, so why on earth do they mess you around and risk it all? Whats the point? What do they gain??
I want to say thanks for the work you guys obviously do. I want to learn how to gather and post pics, but only really get acces to my PC about 2-3 times per week due to family and work commitments. But I will try to do what I can.
Isnt the internet wonderfull, it would be great to meet people for real who share our interests wouldnt it?I dont think I have ever knowingly met another boot/shoe /trample lover, but obviously there are tons of us about!!
Thanks Again.

John,
If you ever need to prevent someone to create automatically accounts by software, there is a fairly easy way to prevent it, I believe Yahoo uses this technique:
When a user creates an account, your software generates a password, 5 or 6 digits long, and displays it in a picture (gif or jpeg) to the user. The user is asked to type the password that he sees, but there is no way for a program to guess what password is required to complete the registration.
It's a good deterrent to automatic registration.
