View Full Version : MSD Forum a cheap way to make a buck for newly started website owners?

I don't know but it seems of lately that this forum is becomming a cheap way for anyone who starts a trample/facesitting yahoo-group or even a website from inside his own livingroom.(if you checkout out all the latest advertisments like "checkout my...." and "updates are ....")

I mean, this is not my forum but because i happen to feel somewhat for the efforts the owner made to start this forum wich has become a great hide-out for all of us who happen to have those fs-fetish's i also feel that others are trying to make a cheap buck on the expenses of MSD original owner.
It would me nicer of he got something--even if he doesn't need it-- in return for it like a banner display or even a small financial paypall reward from those who post inhere and lure potential new clients for their website.

At one time I thought there was a sticky that said, "site spammers please read" or something like that. It had some rules and I believe one of them was that they have to have a referring link back to this forum. I think John was persuing this for a while, at least. Don't know the latest...but he was a webmaster too (as you know) so I'm sure he'll handle it as he feels best. I personally don't mind the occasional promo.

I don't mind the promo's either.
They almost always provide free pictures..a chance for members to know what else is out there.
Who cares how the site is put together.
The only way a site can really profit is if it's well done.
Otherwise...good luck!
What's a small amount of one time members going to get ya?
Zilch.
If anything, those sites probably lose money.

That sticky was only for the hit and run spammers that never really say anything other than to promote their site....

aka - SCUM

Of course it was ignored, because scum don't read the forum anyway...they only post to whore out their crap...

I'm trying to decide if I care anymore, and if I do, I'll take care of it a more interesting way... ;)

LOL,

It has been awhile since something truly entertaining happened around here. :D

It was about time something started inhere cause it is getting out of hand all those free promo's like in "me ..me ...me"
In my view at least they should give the owner of this forum some reward everytime they start typing:
" hey check this out...." or " a new website for all those fetish lovers blablabla "

And then i don't even mention the yahoo-groups who are more or less becomming a save heaven for those who just rip and steal pic's of former and current fetish website's and proclaim they are new.Ofcourse those with own selfshot fetish pic's like fine looking 'Christa" don't fall into that category.
Next time i will name some more website's who in my view fall into the category "cheap way of making a buck and get potential customers from MSD" without giving some reward back.

Look especially for the reply's when such happens. "it isn't so..cause..".The wellknown lame excuse! :(

This is the first one i see in my view as a potential:
steal the members under the name of I'm just givin'free notion of....BS"

and here (http://www.mistressdestiny.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=36621) is another one.
Oh yeah the valid argument they like to use an mass is: "I am allowed to notice folks of what we have.".
Yeah..and i am the Pope. The ONLY reason more and more of those new website's are beeing anounced inhere is because of the overwhelming majority of potential fetish members. Nothing more, nothing less. So it is just for commercial reasons that those new website's are beeing anounced inhere.
If not...LINK this website trough a banner or so, so at least it shows your are here for the LOVE of fetish instead commercial reasons.

This makes no sense..
The example you've given above is of someone who is obviously a long-time member who is very involved in this community..
Not only that, but there's obviously a lot of interest being shown by members here...AND the owner of the site couldn't be any more active in that thread...

You don't like it because it's BBW facesitting...that's all there is to it...
This thread here on the other hand is how old???
What purpose does it serve???

You want to talk about taking up space...this is a waste of space...

I don't think the promos are all that bad. I joined DeadlyFemales some time ago because of the advertising in this forum. But he and the ladies there are also part of the forum. It's also an aspect I like. The BBW stuff does not appeal to me but neither does some of the non-smothering/more pleasuring material. (Sorry to Yosi.)

The only interesting thing here lately was that guy who tried to ask people for their passwords to other pay sites. I think he's sailing past Jupiter at the moment he was bounced so high.

Yeah....way to resurrect this two-month old thread instead of using the one that is already addressing the applicable commentary.

It makes alot of sense but if someone doesn't wanna hear the reasonble arguments and are only open to hear one's own talk(that's called repeating your own cd) then everything stops.
Beeing a long time member doesn't add up to the main reason of my post: Every dork can startup a website and that doesn't have anything to do with beeing a life-long member. What matters is what i said: Luring folks into their new started website without givin' anything like a link or so back!
That is my main point and is more and more getting obvious if one looks at all the newley started threads.

Not only that, but there's obviously a lot of interest being shown by members here...AND the owner of the site couldn't be any more active in that thread...

"Interest by the members" again is one of those BS arguments to make your point wich can easily be thrown out of the window.
First of all most..most of those new website's are ripoffs of other smother-website's who are known already inhere. It is just copy of a copy and trying to make cheap buck.
Second, every idiot looks at something what is called "new" so come again?

No..you like to make that BBW up just to make your point and have it seen as a valid argument.
What was ever said: Folks who don't wanna hear the real story make up one, call other folks names or whatever just to make their own point and hide the truth.
That was called demonising.
And this thread has a purpose: To let folks know what i think of all this stealing and take take take.

If they didn't advertise on the forum, then how would we know they exist? Anaconda, Smother.com, and smothered.com have been around for a while and therefore people know about them. But if someone starts up a new site, I'd like to be able to at least check out a preview. Its not like you have to read every post that says "Check out..."

Even John had to start with a small crappy site at one point. Over time it became the site that people know it as, but everyone still has to start somewhere. As long as the content isn't stolen, they should be allowed to at least come here and post a link with a picture, imo.

It ain't easy to read what i mean..
My point is: (and read this carefully and try to comprende eso:

Not that they open a new website BUT that they advertise too much for it and....(read again carefully) don't give any thing back to this website as a sort of a reward.
Beeing a member..Yeepeejajee..oewah. that puts something on the tab.. :2guns:

I don't mind it at all. Like others have said, there's almost always a free pic and/or clip to be had, plus it's a great way to learn about great new websites based on our fetishes.
I've actually been kicking around the idea of making some clips and videos for sale, and I'm planning on letting everyone on here know about it, and I don't see what the harm would be. I've been a member of this community for a few years now, I've posted lots of pics (of other people), discussed things with everyone, given support and advice when it was needed, so why not ask the forum members to check out your new site?

Congratulations on your appointment to the papacy. Everybody please send in your messages of congratulations on our newly crowned pontiff.

I suppose you will be too busy to grace us with your pontificating comments now that you will have to spend all your time riding around in the popemobile waving at everyone as you go by.

I'm sure you will make an excellent pope.

All the best

Why the griping about promos? I like 'em. Almost all of them give some kind of free preview and post photos and clips. What on earth is wrong with that? It makes perfect sense for them to advertise in a forum that deals with the same fetish as their site. As long as they are giving a sample, they're entertaining us as well. Sounds like a fair deal to me. It seems some people here have nothing better to do than bitch about other people's posts. If you don't like 'em, don't read 'em. What is so difficult about that? How does a post that doesn't interest you cause you any problems? Just skip it and leave it for those who are interested. People criticize these sites for posting here for "commercial" reasons. Is "commercial" a four-letter word? What's wrong with "commercial" interests? Don't we all have to make a living? Don't we all have commercial interests? Hey people, it aint like we're out here fighting for world peace or finding a cure for cancer! We're all here because this forum deals with a subject that makes our cocks hard (or pussies wet). We're here because we're a bunch of pervs, essentially. And you want to get down on someone for trying to make a buck? Is there something wrong with making an honest buck? Every one of us loves to see new material dealing with this topic. If someone has new material for sale and wants to let us know about it, they are doing us a favor. They're giving you exactly what you want, or are at least trying to. They're just lettting you know they've got the goods you're looking for, and giving you a sample. It aint like tv where you can't escape the advertising without changing the channel. It's up to you if you want to do business with them. Where else are you going to find out about new sites? Quit your bitching.

Ed's got a point when he talks of "excessive advertising" like MFX does here........ These guys offer a rare bonus clip as a preview as opposed to most people that have tiny websites and can still offer more pics/clips. I think giving the forum some sort of mention like a link back and also a few clips/pics is reward in itself !!!

MFX do my fucking head in ... and i am in total agreement with the above and editor's comment where they are concerned ... but for the people like fs-mistress.de, mistress anne, facesit crush (k-man) and the like, i have to disagree with you editor as i personally feel that they at least do post more than just their advertising bits ... i.e get involved in discussions etc ...

but people like MFX ... they should be prevented from spamming the board with their shitty advertisements ("hey friends! come buy our videos ... we don't give a fuck about you, we just want your money!" ) until they partake in discussions with the rest of the board (and ultimately, their customers) ...
