I'm afraid I agree.

Your 2 groups look good but as a matter of principle I won't join a group which requires a nice little comment - I mean what's the point? I've managed many fs and ass groups in the past but no one had a ask my permission to join.

It was Yahoo who decided that pending members needed to send a comment.

I solely decide on admitting members based on profile.

Except Elite Facesitting in which pending members must contribute to gain access.

Thus creating a very unique group with members sharing personal pics with each other.

with all the bloody spammers in so many Yahoo groups
not to mention , bloody virus senders , it is a must to have a group under moderation.
as for the required comment , it is not a permission to join,
it is mainly to see if it is not an automated request by some bloody spammers..........;)

Let's get this straight. It is NOT a Yahoo requirement to add a comment, and the security code that has to be entered in order to request joining stops any auto spamming. I still don't see the point in adding a comment. Any moderator or owner can see profiles when the auto email arrives in their inbox.

Correct yosi.

You need to enter something and it's nice for the moderator to see how interested you really are.

All my groups are strictly moderated, meaning any messages and/or memberships need to be approved.

Hi dislike groups with no message moderation as you can't keep up with group news.....you just get bombarded with spam and such.

With these groups I click "no email" which is no good to the group nor myself.
