Registration 101:

1. Registration at MDFF is not automatic. All registrations, as accomplished through the online Forum registration process, are preliminary. They are not active (i.e. able to post) accounts until acted on by an administrator.

2. All preliminary registrations must be approved by an administrator. To start this process, the pending user (or an agent thereof) must e-mail a moderator or administrator (like me) and provide the proposed (preliminarily registered) username.

3. Free e-mail addresses (like Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.) are no longer allowed as registering e-mails.

4. After the pending user contacts a moderator or administrator, patience is required. Activating a pending registration takes an actual action on the part of one of three people, the administrators. These are three people on a Forum with 20+ thousand members, and more than a quarter million posts. Currently, activation takes anywhere from a few hours (after notification to a mod or admin) to several days.

5. My e-mail address is: kenroad2000@wavecable.com. Use it.

NOTE: Also know that if you change your e-mail address you have partially unregistered yourself. Your account will have to be re-activated personally by one of the admins.

This could take some time to actually happen.

John, obviously on an opium binge, or something, has had the lack of judgment to make me a "super moderator". ;)

Now, this means that I can do truly awful things like fully register people. But this also means that the massive backlog of people awaiting full registration can also be addressed by me. Between the three of us we will be able to vet people and process proto-registrations on a quicker schedule than had been possible before.

For the 1000+ people awaiting full registration, continue patience. I just received this additional ability yesterday, and I need to parse through lots of information to know what the hell I’m doing.

Understand the following: I take this seriously. And I agree with John's rules. I am his agent with regard to these forums. That doesn’t mean I won’t disagree with him from time to time. And I do, and have. But, regarding how these Forums are run, I am John’s bitch.

I know who pays the bills. I vastly appreciate, and respect, that. I also know how much time I contribute, and I also respect that. Once in a while I actually like to read and enjoy what’s posted here. I am, after all, one of you. One of us. So there will be times when, instead of dealing with my administrative duties, I will be viewing images of scantily-clad women treading lightly over hapless males, or reading reports of some brave kinkster submitting himself to the tender mercies of the crowd. Grant me the time to do that once in a while, and be patient.

So, while I discharge my duties, I would ask patience from you all. I have this to do, my own life to live, and my Goddess to serve. Like many of you.

Life is busy, and we all end up taking it as it comes.






Administrative Note: I’ve revised the instructions for “fully” registering to account for this recent change. At this point, though, this has only been done in the Discussions Forum. When I get the chance I’ll do it in the other three Forums for which I have responsibility.
