Peterek,

I've been trying to contact you using e-mail about the problem I've been having with the masopls clips I downloaded from clips4sale and you will not respond.
I'm not trying to give you a hard time.....I'm just trying to figure the problem out. I would like to download more clips but not until WE figure out the problem.
I'm trying to remain "friendly" about this but your lack of response makes that hard to do !!!!!
Unless I here from you soon, I will recommend to ALL members of this group to NOT download any of your clips.
Let's not let it come to that.

bottomstep can you do me a favor? Just e-mail Kenrug directly he will help you if he can. It would also help if you e-mail t-hound as well. That's the only suggestion I can do for you.

Peterek2001,

I used the same e-mail address as before. Is it trample@op.pl ?

Scottdenell,

Which clip did you download ? Was it a masopls clip ? What format was it in AVI, WMV, etc..... Are you in the U.S. or Europe ?

Hi Bottom......What web browser are you using?

Try IE or Real Player, I usually never have a porblem with either of these, but RealPlayer is the best for me.

I think the clip was AVI and was a trample party clip.........:)

Scotdenell,

I have downloaded other clips from this site ( clips4sale.com ) and they are fine. They were in AVI formatt. It's just the clips from peterek's store which is called BDSM & TRAMPLING. I downloaded 2 masopls clips and they both have the same problem. They are both in WMV format. I've tried different players, different computers, tried converting them to different formats myself.....nothing helps. The clips play. It's just that whenever there is any movement, like someone walking, I get horizontal distortion. And it's only the object, or person that's moving. Everything else in the frame is fine.
Look at the attached "frame grab" from the video.

I had my computer attacked.
This post here with the link (including virus) wasn't written by me.
I hope that Kenrug can confirm that it wasn't sent from my IP.

Peterek,

I REALLY hope you did not " INTENTIONALLY " send me a virus !!
If you did, I guess that's what you meant by "download this..and there will be no problem anymore"
My system did a scan of the file downloaded from your link :

and it detected the following virus :
SVD.EXE
also known as
Backdoor.Prorat
also known as
Trojan Horse

Refer to the following link :
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/backdoor.prorat.html

If this was your intention, it's pretty EVIL of you !!!
I'm just trying to figure out the problem I'm having with your video clips.
I'm not trying to give you a hard time.

I hope that John or K-rug or one of the moderators has been viewing this post.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXx

I scanned the zip file with Norton's and did not detect a virus. I would suggest that, since e-mail problems appear to be an issue, discuss the problems here on the Forum.

As for CODECs, most are freely available on the web. I would suggest getting them there, rather than here.

That said, the reported problem sounds like a CODEC issue. That would explain why others are able to view the video, while some (one?) cannot.

One big question here: What's the source of the videos being sold? Are these created by the site owner? Are they created by others, but re-sold with permission of the copyright holder?

Moderator Comment

I require a prompt answer to that last question.

Ken: Peterek2001 makes his own content...I'm pretty sure of that.

bottomstep: Do you use Internet Explorer? If so,you probably should go to their homepage and download the necessary requirements for your audio.
This may not be the problem you're having, but it sounds similar to the problem I was having after I had my computer cleaned.

Kenrug,

My system also scanned the file automatically when I downloaded it and the virus was detected ??????
As fas as the codec goes, I don't know which one peterek was trying to send me, since my system detected a virus. I would get it elsewhere if I knew what to get.
The webmaster of clips4sale also saw the problem, not just me which led me to believe there was a problem with the clip. Also, the webmaster of clips4sale and myself are in the U.S., peterek in in europe. I thought it was a NTSC / PAL issue.
As far as the source of the clip goes, they are not created by the site owner ( www.clips4sale.com ). I don't think they are even created by the person who uploaded them ( peterek2001 ). The clips are from MASOPLS. Maybe the original analog format was from masopls ( VHS tape, etc... ) they were converted to digital video ( WMV, AVI, etc...) by peterk, and sold by Neil on clips4 sale.com. Confusing, huh !!!!
Anyway, bottom line, I'm just trying to get the clips to work right.
If you like, I will send you the clip in it's original, zipped format, the way it was downloaded from clips4sale.com. You can see if it looks okay to you or if you see distortion ( see screen grab ).
I'm really not trying to be an asshole and I'm sorry if peterek sees it that way. I'm just trying to figure this problem out, whatever it takes !!!!

Clips from serie "MASOPLS" are clips of my friends and I got full right to distribute them.
The rest of the clips are my production and all people who are in the clips has agreed to selling the clips.
bottomstep
I've written to you that it is the SVHS or HI8 format, and I don't have any influence over that.

Sorry for my late replying, I don't know English and I must ask my friends to write something.

The problem seen in the frame grab bottomstep attached is not caused by SVHS or HI8. You get that sort of result if you rescale interlaced video without de-interlacing.

Whatever program you are using for editing/encoding the clips, you should look for an option called "de-interlacing" and turn it on. De-interlacing should be done first before anything else. If you rescale it first it will be too late to fix it.

Peterek,

Have you STILL not received the e-mail I sent you earlier ?
So the virus sent to me was not done by you intentionally.... I'll except that. Now what ?
Did you read the above post from erkka4 ? Does that sound like that could be the problem ?
You have the same clips availible at your site :
http://www.trample.pl/start.htm
Can you make arrangements for me to download the same clips from there instead of clips4sale.com to see if those will work ?

This might help with the WMV codics format for Windows Media Player...

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/codecs/vcm.aspx

The New Windows Media Player 10 is also out and it has a lot of the codics that WMP 9 didn't have.....

I don't have problems with the WMV playing, but I know a lot of Boards don't surport it unless you zip it if you ever intend to upload that format...

Maybe you should simply ask Peterek about codecs he used to compile his movie?

Or you can skip the really problematic manager (rpm's) thing, and use something worthwhile, like Slackware. (sorry, just had to bitch about red hat)
