THE FOOTSLAVE part 01.

- ‘Action !’, the director shouted.
Suddenly the dark and cold dungeon was lit by the faint light of a candle.
A leather-clad Nathalie Portman came down a wooden stairs with feline grace. The clicking of her stiletto boot-heels echoed through the cellar and drew everyone’s attention.
Closely the camera zoomed in on her superstar feet which were elegantly clad in black, thigh-high leather Dominatrix boots.
Accompanied by the sound of my chains I assumed my kneeling position in the small iron cage. As I watched her gracious figure coming down the stairs I had every trouble keeping myself from a giant erection. Here I was an aspiring young actor, only 19 years old making his debut in his first feature, a major horror-movie entitled ‘The Footslave’.
I still couldn’t believe my luck. Out of several hundreds of candidates I had been selected to star next to Nathalie Portman in this ‘Silence of the Lamb-ish’ S&M- horror production.
In this movie she plays a sadistic serial killer woman who seduces and captures a young male victim and locks him into a small iron cage in her dungeon.
Here he is systematically tortured and humiliated and turned into her obedient footslave. The movie’s very high on foot fetishism, it has numerous scenes of the male character desperately groveling and worshiping at Nathalie’s boots and feet, begging his sadistic Mistress for mercy.
This movie was a big turning point in Nathalie’s career. Her management had suggested she was ready for a whole new image, the transition from the innocent girl next door to a confident, independent ball-busting woman. At first Nathalie had shown some reservations, after all it was a huge change from her earlier image, but soon she got convinced of the fact that she couldn’t keep on playing those fluffy romantic parts for the rest of her life.
It was time for something new and when she was handed this script for this highly original horror-movie by her agent, they both had decided that now the decision was made, this was the perfect vehicle to show the new Nathalie to the world.
Not only was this movie driven by an unusually strong and evil female character, it was also unusual because in the end the bad girl got away with it. So in many ways this movie meant a total departure from Miss Portman’s earlier work and was destined to raise some commotion under moviegoers everywhere.
Although Nathalie herself and her management realized they were taking some risk her agent instinctively knew the public would fall for Nathalie’s darker side, a side that up till now she had never revealed to the public.
