I was wondering what to do for my 1,000th post, if I should put something special with one of the Beautiful Mistresses on this board or find a thread to make my blood soar. But I was watching the Country Music channel and Tim McGraw came on and sang a song called " LIVE FOR DYING" about his father the late Baseball Player TUG McGRAW and, though I had seen the video and heard the song several times before, I still cried, especially when he shows the pictures of his late father at the end of the video and you really relealize what the song is about. It was just the thought of the hero worship of a child for his parents ( in this case his father) and what a man who was loved in his profession and played in an era where he played just because you loved the GAME meant. It is hard to put into words what a child means to a parent, and you can only hope they can express their love the way TIM does about his father, you can just see the love coming out as he sings this song. Some of you may laugh and make fun of my for being sentimental about this, BUT the father child, as well as the MOTHER child relatetion is more important then any thing else in the world !!! DAMN I may be old fashion but my children ( I have two adult age childern) come first in my life !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BBQ-it's a great song made better by the story that Tim was mostlt raised by his mom and reconciled w/his dad as an adult.

Family first, I always say. Since getting myself hurt, and temporaraly disabled, I have become very sentamental. My wife has of course made fun of me relentlessly. Hell, I've even been known to cry at comercials lately. Not very comfortable, and very strange for me, but I guess things happen. Anyway, It is a great song, even if I havent seen the vidio.

Great story, and your so right there is nothing like a bond between a child and parent. I for one always but my children and fiancee first nothing else matters but there happiness and the love we all share. There is nothing wrong with anyone showing there emotions...

HELPMEBREATHE, LIVINGFURNITURE, SMOTHERMAN, and SMOTHERMANSGODDESS Thank you After I wrote and posted this I felt a little foolish as it was an emotional thing for me, so I put it in the FLAMEPIT thinking it would dide and I wouldn't feel embarressed. But ATYOURFEET1, told me this was justed wasted there I moved it. Thank you all for proving him right.
