there are many who come to see the pics but very few who respond :(

Well for the record...I contribute to this forum and glad to do it.I`m not even asking for recognition.I do it because,I want too.

I post pics, post any related links about facesitting from (Sit on my face drinks to facesitting stories and everything in between)

I even reply to people that hardly ever post who are looking for facesitters...I go out of my way to search for facesitters through search engine for these people.

It`s the lurkers that come to this forum for free pics etc..not the regular members......Shit! I even had 4 women from the past come on this forum and post.

Here's my 2 cents worth! I post pics here and I even posted a story that I made up a while back. Now. I could be one of those folk who gets a tad miffed when they get a zillion views to their post, and 2 replies, but I am not - hence I don't take it personally that you omitted my name from the list of posters in your thread:D ;) There are those on this forum that post replies and thanks relidiously to every contribution, and there are those, like me, who don't. Doesn't mean I appreciate the contribution any the less though - it's just what makes us human! Being different. It could also be that, like me. many folk could be unaware of any amount of work done by the poster to reproduce summat here. Y'see, all I have ever done is find a pic somwhere else that I like, and attached it to a post here, with due credit where possible, which is my mind isn't really worth heaps of praise, now someone such as webmasterbob, romulus or even John, put a lot more effort into reproducing a pic here than I do - and I know you have several Yahoo groups, so again more effort required by you than me. Whatever - I like your posts and so here I will post my thanks to you - right, I'll get me coat!!

Let's not take such a narrow view on what defines a "contributor" here

One could point out that the people who spend their money on memberships to these FS sites so they remain open for business are contributing to this board as well since the websites quite often post their new teaser material for the non members to enjoy.

Yes I am one of those people that doesn't say thank you very much to the contributors but I do want to point out that I usually only view the new material threads posted anyway. I'm not really interested in the same old "Smother.com" material that seems to have been posted to death all over the internet and this board over the years.

This isn't meant to be a criticism of the quality of Smother.com material.. I just mean it's like hearing the same old Bob Segar tune at a wedding for the umpteenth time. It's gets boring after a while.
and rather than being negative and saying " why not post something we haven't seen a million times before"...we say nothing hence your lack of replies

This isn't meant to be directed at one specific person but to me, the only person who's justified in bitching about the direction of the board or who contributes and who doesn't is the guy who pays for it...John

Yosi I have found your post to be so enjoyable that I feel compelled to respond since I am one of those individuals who has not posted any pics.

Quite frankly since I have enjoyed the picture posted by others I have felt a pang of guilt that I really have little to share that would be origanal or even above the run of the mill web stuff we have all seen. Additionally I am still learning the whole adding in pictures technology (I spent half a day trying to add a avator not to long ago.

Despite these excuses (defenses?) your point is well taken and I will work to improve my shortcomings in this area in the future.

And once again to Yosi and all of those members who provide the great pics Well Done! and Many Thanks!

my own personal view is that i can't see what a few posts saying 'thanks, blah blah' matter anyway......i'm sure people do appreciate them, but if all members posted thanks to all the pic posts, there'd be like 10,000 replies to each post :eek: .....so.....point of?

I think there are more ways to contribute to this board than just posting pics. I've posted quite a few in my time, most of which I've taken myself, and to be honest I don't see a great deal of point in many of the multiple repostings of old smother.com etc pics. There are many such pics in the countless yahoo and MSN clubs in which membership can be restricted if the moderator really does not like lurkers - although I must admit the yahoo clubs Yosi has set up are some of the best.

I don't think we should worry about the large number of 'lurkers', I think this is inevitable , but its important to remember that some of the more interesting threads have been started by folk who have 'de-lurked' and posted for the first time after following the board for maybe years.

Personally I think this board should as much a discussion forum as well as a place to share the odd interesting/unusual/amusing facesit pic such as this one posted a few days ago....(by the way are the guys twins?)

There may be something to be said for going the way of the trampling forums and splitting this forum into pics, stories & discussion. But thats up to John & Thound....

i adore the fact that people post pics here, and i do so as well on occasion. what i do find somewhat bothersome sometimes is the pic posts where there's like a pic post every 14 replies. so i try tno to post ON declared pic posts, so other people can flip through them without having to read many, many replies of mine.

I agree with Yosi's point of view that there are too many lurkers who don't really add something to this board then just visit or even steal pic's for their own website and then put them up overthere as newfound.
That said, i think it is also inevitable wich such a huge forum like this one.Also, some members aren't that good in writing a fetish story or even wellknown with posting pics or even feel somewhat shy to add something when there are already so 'many' other members who contribute to this forum.But what Yosi for the most meant is that most of the pic's (leave out Bob,Romulus,Marco,Alan) are all of the same. Meaning former Diamond International pic's or even from IBN.More personal pic's or for that matter screen-captures from a certain DVD you recently bought would add more difference to the availability of new pic's on this forum.
Thusfar new pic's with a great diversity for this forum mostly come from Bob,Alan,Marco and Romulus.

That said: Wanna add something?

So come on folks and be somewhat more active and add more difference to this forum.

I am a visitor to this forum and have posted a couple of stories but I don't have original pictures to contribute. However Yosi's (and all you other contributers) pictures do make a big difference to my otherwise sad life so please do carry in - it really is appreciated

Please don't get discouraged yosi. I really could care less how many people reply, or who or who doesn't like them. I know someone out there is enjoying them. Even the old pics that 'everyone' seems to have already seen. There are new members on here everyday, that I'm sure never heard of smother.com. I post for everyone who is a member, and who would like to look, and welcome them to join in on the fun. If not, oh well. There are pictures that I enjoy looking at over and over again, and there's some that I don't. But I'm not one to complain about someone else taking time out of their day to post pics, or stories, or even just a hello.

I havn't posted any picts on this site as don't have any - lost them all long ago. I truly enjoy your posts as well as everyone else that posts so often. I got the idea many of the members here had websites of their own but did not realize picts were being lifted for profit elsewhere. You do what you must but I must say although I have not expressed my appreciation, you and everyone has helped me make it through some really hard times. Thanks all again and sorry to not be a big contributor.

I know for me I dont always post when I dont like something.... like pics with Big women, I know that some people really enjoy bigger women..... and I think it would be rude to say anything negative after all they took there time to get those pics and post them...and they think those women are beautifull..

Yosi, don’t give up on posting pictures on the account of people not commenting on what you post. Many of us on this forum do our best to acknowledge those that post pictures on this forum. Don’t get discouraged by those under water bottom feeders that look at your pictures and say nothing.

I'm with sinbad and Smotherman, as well as many of us as well here on this great forum on this matter. I post pics because it gives me a sense of sharing, and that makes me feel productive to a certain degree and therefore, good about myself. All of here always post the orginating site for the pics, so really, our function is of advertisers for those sites.
I've been a member of pretty much every facesitting site that has graced this board at one point or another, and will continure to join sites. Why? It's basically impossible to post 87 pics + 4 video clips hre from any given update from a quality site -- and those are the ones we'd join most often and would then get the most posts -- it's a positive feedback loop.
Of course, people who don't share the ten minutes it takes to post a couple of pics do not add to the board very much, but a percentage of them certainly do join site because of our posting, and so we serve a valuable function, aside from supporting each other in this sense of community we do have here.
Yosi, Noface, sinbad, Smotherman, Nase, Marco, Vanessa, WebMasterBob (i'm sorry, but there are a good amount of us that post pics fairly regurlarly so i can't get everyone off the top of my head) and out beloved Mistresses, and those who DO post are special people, since they get joy out of improving their community.
Those who do not post, they certainly do not make the boards any lesser by their presence, they just have not gotten around to making as good as they could (should) be. I'll take the effort to find pics we don't normally see here very often, and so... with that...enought text, lol

something that might help get more people to post is if someone was to explain how you post pics like how you upload them and make them smaller I guess so can upload them thats always been on of my problems I have tried a few times to upload pics but always too big.

I very much appreciate the pictures that are posted here, as this helps my wife and I in exploring new ideas for facesitting. Because of the weakness of my wife's muscles due to having MD many of the conventional positions of facesitting are just too much for her, so we always look for different and new ideas. Your posts have been of great help for us in this area. The exchange of ideas in this forum has also been of great help to us, and I thank you all very much for this.
I have posted some pictures in the past, but have not been posting because I can only get the pictures you have already seen. I cannot afford to pay for sites, and the free pics. I have found have been on the internets for a long time and seen many times over. I also would not want to see the posts of pictures stopped as they do more good than most would realize.
I will learn again how to post pictures, and as I can I will also start to add to this forum. Again, I thank you all for the hard work that you do, and I want you all to know that because of these pictures my wife and I have been helped in many ways in exploring this form of sharing with each other.

well i would love to post pics however everytime i try to load pics it says that they are not the correct format...ive got a lot of pics but probably pics that everyone has before..but i would still like to post them if i could...i have no clue what is wrong but all my pics are usually jpeg format but it still says not a valid extension...does anyone have a clue why this is happening to me and if so maybe a solution to this. thanks for any help that can be given

Dear Yosi, I made my first picture post last night. 34 stills from videos that I own. They are, perhaps a bit hidden, to find in the new clips thread. It took some time but they work.
Not one single reply so far. It does'nt make me feel sad. Feed back is fine, but I guess they like the pics. Let's turn it around; if they don't , I'll hear it. Glad to do some payback for this super-board! Let the lurkers lurk at will. In fact, I do feel pity for them.
Downloading all pics takes a full time job here! Bart

My take on this-Let's not let the non-contributors ruin this great forum.

To Tharken-to post pics just click on "attach files" and follow the directions-it can be time consuming and if you have dial-up it will take forever.

I can see your point flipper, but I think the new rule would just stop people from downloading the full size pics. Not to stop people from looking around, and they would also get to see the thumbnails. It's really not that bad of a deal, is it? Merry Christmas buddy.
