why cant we attach clips

i tried to attach a real media file and it said invalid file type, i have plenty of clips to share but they wont attach, am i doing something wrong?

aside form the fact they are generally a tad excessive to place as attachments, it is also more expedient for the forum server to have them linked off of a personal server.
