Europeans banned? can somebody explain this to me?

I've been reading through the license agreement in "facesat.com", (http://www.facesat.com/documents/terms.htm) and there is a pharagraph that says:

5.2 All parts of the following countries: Afghanistan, Germany, Kuwait, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Libya, Pakistan, The Republic of China, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Syria, The United Arab Emirates;

It refers at "PROHIBITED AREAS", from which the no part of the website may be accessed.

I can understand China, Syria, etc... but the cases of JAPAN and GERMANY??????

I'm not german (I live in spain). But I remember smother.com having some issues with my country as well (some time ago). Why is this?

Is it something to do with the fact that, apparently, you're not allowed to show nude facesitting in Germany? And possibly pubic hair in Japan?

Perhaps Marco or someone can confirm the German / Nudity situation?

That's strange ideed cause from what i know Japan en Germany are very open with the policies on sex/fetishm.
I mean it is not as 'liberal'as in Holland but they don't have censorship UNLESS!...in the past folks have been misusing pic's or films or whatever for free distribution on other (or their own) website's and therefore they are banning those IP's just to be ahead of them.
Otherwise it all looks somewhat strange for me too.

It could be facesat.com are having difficulty processing credit cards from those countries.

Your best bet will be email John and ask him...go right to the source!


I know some websites have trouble processing credit cards from overseas ....It could be just an minor technicality to figure out payment plans.

Try emailing John and asking him...maybe it is about nudity/fetishism policy

I really don't know either, but did you guys ever noticed that smother.de never has any nude facesitting. So maybe there is a certain law in germany........We will see.

Well, I only posted that message because I was bored, hoping to join facesat.com (which looks like a wonderful site, by the way), and checked the license agreement in the meantime.

As an European, I was worried and estranded for that exclusion of Germany.

It can be that there are laws in Germany that prohibits these kind of content (I doubt it).

I only know, that in Germany is a problem with the age-checks, they have a ridicolous law for to save children under 18 years from nude pictures, therefore the german facesittingboard and the german tramplingboard are hosted in Switzerland.

There are NO government restrictions concerning sexual issues EXCEPT!

A strict age-check for adult sites. But not those showing nudity but counting for those sites showing sexual actions eg men penetrating women and stuff like that.
Some do that by having you enter your ID Card-number or so. But that´s it then. Just to make sure you´re 18+.

Government doesn´t intervene much in things. But child porn is punished hard which I regard absolutely correct.

I don´t know of anything other though.

As I understand it, its a point of risk. The webmaster is not likely to care if they live out of reach of the authorities where something they are publishing is ilegal and most of these website warnings are canned in any event. I doubt many of the webmasters have ever bothered to actually read the legal warnings on their websites and fewer still would understand thier meaning.

If i were you i would probably write to the site and ask them. There may be some way they can take you...perhaps with some kind of international money order. Hard to say really but one thing is for sure, you wont get in unless you ask :-)
