ROTFL!!!:D :D :D

mind you, cricket is a bit of a toffee-nosed poofter's game:p

actually, USA were very unlucky not to beat germany in the last football world cup (soccer to the US) they were robbed in that game!

i think the US will improve over the coming years........they've already made lots of improvements in the last 15 years or so, and could eventually become quite a force in the game.

shame Australia still can't make the world cup though (despite being pooled in probably the easiest qualifying stages of the world cup.....who do they have to play? new zealand and samoa?)
:D :p

The australians take losing pretty bad....I know someone from australia on another message board who plays cricket and soccer for the australians..He said to me everytime his team loses,He lays down on the field and starts crying.:D

That is the competitive nature of them i`d suppose

It's true Australians take losing pretty bad. That's why they've won many world trophies over the last so many years.
Whereas England has taken losing in their stride. That's why they have only won one significant world sports trophy in 37 years!

By the way, Australia has to play against a South American team at the last hurdle for the final world cup place in soccer.
Unfortunately it is not so much the quality of our players that let us down but more the administrators of the sport here. Too much in-fighting and too many power struggles has made sure the game has never reached it's potential.

I see that Lleyton Hewitt has just beaten Tim Henman again (tennis).:)
