Hello everybody!
This is my first post so I'll begin by sending a massive thank you in the direction of Daddo and everyone else who keeps me coming back here day after day! Seems like you guys are all that keeps me sane sometimes :)
OK, a bit of background on the new boy. I'm 26, live about an hour outside London, UK with my girlfriend, who is not quite 26, but almost. Feet, shoes and trampling are very near and dear to my heart......J took some coming round to it but after nearly 6 years everything's going really well on that front.
FYI she's 5'6, around 145lb, shoe size UK 6 (EU39) with really high arches. Beautiful feet in fact (at least I think so). To give you an idea of the kind of fun we get up to, I spent the last couple of nights sleeping head-to-toe with her (although I kept my big smelly feet away from her head lol), kissing and massaging her feet for hours at a time (at her request I might add), I always moisturise her feet and legs when she gets out of the shower, do her pedicures and look after her nails (I'm getting better at it), clean and polish her shoes and boots, and she takes (nearly) every opportunity to make me her footstool and get me into potentially humiliating situations in public. All in all I get a pretty good deal I think.
Most of the trample I've received over the years has been from her bare feet, some with her (gorgeous) leather riding boots after she's been out riding (spurs are fun), and also from a variety of heeled sandals, shoes and boots at various times, although she's in the process of "rationalising" her footwear collection at the moment.
Which brings me on to one of the main reasons for this post, which is to get some opinions from you on the following subject...
Fundamental to my interest in feet and associated activities is the assertion that women (in my case J) are central to the world, and should be adored, pampered, and deserve to receive the very best of everything in life. Naturally this extends to footwear, and to that end I am particularly attracted to expensive, elegant designer shoes and boots. It appears to me, however, that 99% of the trample/foot fetish material on the internet features models wearing cheap, trashy footwear of the kind I would more likely expect to see being modelled on a street corner than anywhere else (russianmistress, womanworship and cucciolo the exceptions to this rule in my experience). Is this the general perception and accepted face of "fetish" footwear?
Please don't flame me here because I'm just asking.
What are you guys all into? Is anybody else interested in the sort of shoes really befitting of a goddess? Before anyone says anything, I'm not obsessed by designer labels or enormous price tags, but by the form, materials, aesthetics and quality - which do unfortunately come at a price in most cases.
A case of this in point would be the Cruella site (just an observation, no offence intended), where supposedly aristocratic millionairesses are walking around wearing horrible PVC boots and such like. OK, the heels are sharp, but shouldn't they really be in Jimmy Choos or Manolos or something? At least something to convey a sense of style, superiority and sophistication.
J is far from a catwalk queen or Gucci-obsessed shop-a-holic (in fact she's more of a surfy chick most of the time), and she hardly ever wears heels out unless its to tease me :) , but the first time she saw a trample-related website she made the observation almost immediately ie "I'm not doing that for you if I have to dress up like a tart". Thoughts?
What do your wives/girlfriends wear for you?
Whose feet do you lust after on a Saturday night out?
So anyway, soon after I met her we did buy a few pairs of shoes that with hindsight were a bit tacky, so now she's having a clear-out, which is what prompted me to write this I suppose. We have a deal from now on that any new shoes have to be legitimately exquisite in both our opinions before they come home. Suits me :D
Friday saw the acquisition of a pair of tall high-heeled boots from Bally of Switzerland, in beautiful black calf leather, purchased to the considerable detriment of my bank account. Nothing in recent memory has made me grin as much as these things, so if anyone would like to see some pics of them in action (or anything else for that matter) let me know and I'll see what I can do. Next up are some new sandals I think. I was in Vegas last week incidentally, but without her (cry), and spent several long and distressing minutes with my nose pressed up against the window of the Jimmy Choo store before the guys I was with started to get worried about me. Oh well, there'll be a next time I'm sure :p
Anyway, I digress. Nothing in the above was intended to offend, wind up, or in any way be construed as "having a go at" anybody, I'm just trying to stimulate some conversation about what I've said, get some feedback, and hopefully make some new friends on here. Feel free to kick me back into line if I said anything inappropriate/stupid (if you're female that is, if you're male just tell me politely please :) )
Once again, mad props (as the youngsters say :D ) for such an amazing board, and hopefully this can be the start of an interesting thread.
