Some image extractions from the ZZ Top music video "Legs". I tried to upload a video clip extraction to here, but it's 800kb and the file size limit is 250kb. :( I've changed the upload limit on my forum and loaded it there in the Photo section. Great clip of a hot blonde crushing the hand of the asshole sales clerk.


There is also a scene where the girl puts her foot on a guys chest and shoves him backwards, but it happens so fast it wouldn't make a good clip. Lots of beautiful legs (hence the name of the song) and some good shots of high heels in the video. If you want it MOBY let me know. I'll put a link so you can download the whole video from my server. Its about 49mb and in .mpg format.

Great images. I like the clarity of the pics. I wish you had some facesittin content in the same techbotto ! You could use a prog like HJSplit to split your 800k clip into 240k bits, zip em each and send em here LOL. But i would prefer if you had some facesit stuff.

I personally prefer .rm movies. one can have a full one hr movie in .rm format in just 40-50 mb

rather than some divx movies of the same with a motherload of 400 MB or more.

True, but not everyone prefers the rm clips. I personally hate the shit out of them (if they have any shit in them that is). The ONLY reason that I use them on my site is to save space. The rm and wmv files compress so small that I can put 10 clips there in those formats where I could only fit one in mpg format. I still hate them though.
Real Player is a proprietary bitch, taking over all other extensions, even if you specify NO in the setup. WMV files don't do that (thank you Microsoft) but they are a bitch to try to decode into anything else. Once you have a wmv file, you're basically stuck with it.

I try not to split files. I hate having to download 10 pieces of a file and then compile the damn thing just to watch a video. Reminds me of old Linux stuff where you had to download the code and basically build the program yourself. I'd rather get it all in one chunk :D

If it's not too much band for you , there's no prob for me to download the 49 mb, i have a 1024 broad band connect, it will be fast to download it.

It rocks , the music , the girls, the non stop close up on the shoes and feet, the car. Too funny the white hairs guitar of the guitar and bass player :D, i forgot it.

When I was a teen and just getting started on guitar I wanted one of those damn swivel belts sooooo bad! LMAO...I wanted to spin my guitar like that.

If anyone remembers the Poison video "Talk dirty to me" where CC Deville spins his guitar over his shoulder by the guitar strap...don't try that at home. I got brave and tried it in my front yard with an old guitar. My fucking guitar strap broke and sent my guitar about 20 feet up into the air. Good thing it was an old guitar :D

Yeah I had enough sense to use one of my old beat up guitars :) Good thing too. It hit the ground headstock first and bounced.

Not a problem johnny :) Since watching that video again I'm looking over some of the other ZZ TOP videos. They always seemed to have women in heels. Maybe we can capture some good shots in the other vids as well.

Maybe I am completely wrong here, but I heard from somewhere that (at least two) of the members, Billy and Dusty, were porn actors at one point, which was the reason they grew the beards. How true this is I don't know, does anyone else? As much as I like ZZ Top, I've never done much research into them as individuals....ironic though that Frank Beard, the drummer, has no beard (at one point he did though). Go figure, lol.

Oh yes, thank you very much, Techbot, for those photographs. I had never previously seen those videos. I dunno, it just seems that when you put 2 and 2 together it seems like it's a high probability that they are into the same things. It's one thing to write a song about it, another to shoot a video obviously catered to a certain group projecting an obvious image of female worship/domination. Well, that's my 2 cents!

I'd always thought that was funny too. :)
I never heard of them doing porn. Never know though! With all the hot women they always had in their videos...those women could have been friends from their porn days :D

Could you imagine being a famous rock/pop star? How much fun we could have casting girls for our videos and the kind of videos we would make. Ahhh... Some of the prettiest girls I have seen have been on/in music videos and there's no shortage of competition to get into the scene.

I had the same problem and I managed to do it using mplayer/mencoder. Give it a try.

Not that I was aware of! As far as I know they're all still around. In fact, I believe at least one of them lives right here in Houston.

That program will decode wmv's?? I thought that decoding codec was patented by Microsoft. Virtualdub used to include it, but had to take it out of their latest releases because of patent issues with Microsoft.

St. Elsewhere (the hospital series) did an episode called, "Dreams" years ago. One of the "dreams" a staff member had was a takeoff on the Legs video. And at the end, one of the babes walks right over a prone security guard, stepping on his butt with her spike heeled boot.

ajjones2: I was just about to mention that. I remebered that episode well as I was absolutley in love with those white boots in the original video and wished to be under them.

We've mentioned the dominant woman theme in the video here, but the girls in teh video were more of a take off of the fairy godmothers, yet mix in a bit of MTV attitude and they get a bit aggressive. However, if you listen to some of ZZTop's other songs and lyrics: from Bad Girl "she likes whips and chians" "she might get out her nightstick, and hurt me real, real bad" or from Pincushion "I'm a pincushion, do anything she asks" (Let your imagination run wild on that one) You start to wonder about this band.

And the story behind the beards is that they were unemployed and when they were signed, the record label thought their unkempt beards would be a great gimmick.
