On this day sept 11th, i wish to offer our best wishes from the english people on this site to our american friends.
Our thoughts are with you today as they have been since that bad day.
take care all
steveo:)
Thank you Steveo. That's very kind. I did not lose anyone close in that terrible act of violence. But my heart goes out to all the people that did. I hope & pray that nothing else will happen as the day goes on.

I join you in that offer for best wishes Steveo. It's a very dark page in the history book.
Although it was a major attack on the US and everything it stands for, let us not forget that it also was a major attack on the free world.
They took it out on the biggest symbols of free enterprise and succes.
In fact we are all united in greef, as we are all severly hurt and together we do have to fight it and bring defeat to those cowards.  They only understand the word of arms; they have proven that in the past and future will prove it again.

oneforall, peace is always a two way communication.
You can't make peace with fanatics who only believe that their way of thinking is the only way.
In their view, everyone with a different opinion or religion should be convinced to join them or be killed.
Make peace with them??? keep on dreaming. With a big smile they will stab you in the back.
It's always the extreme fanatics who spread the disease and even harm their own kind! They have to be traced and exterminated!
my 2 cents, and lets get back to trample:)

Having watched all the coverage on T V I was moved by everything I saw and no matter how many times you see it happening it defies all decent logical thought and begs the question "why?!". I am also from England and my thoughts go out to everyone who was affected in the states and lets hope that together we can get the bastards who masterminded it and do away with them because they are scum. Again, my thoughts are with you guys.

i understand your point very well, doorstep. i was shocked and furious that day, too. but criminal prosecution is one thing, and war is another.
as a german i am still well aware of the horrible fanaticism of my grandparents 60 years ago; and thank god this generation has not been traced and exterminated, otherwise i couldnīt talk to you today. we have been led back to democracy. sorry, this is not a political forum and my english is surely not good enough; i just wanted to express my deepest fear: that this may lead to war and thus to the deaths of thousands of men, women and children who live in poverty and opression and know nothing about america but what their dictators/gurus tell them.
and if you donīt care about the reasons of their ignorance, youīll have to trace and exterminate forever.
back to trample :)
Don't go here !! ALL OF US want to express our thoughts and support to the people that died and especially their families. Simple respect and support is what we should and do offer. Let's leave the political stuff to othe boards

we have been led back to democracy
Yep, true so true.
But how would Europe be today, if the USA would not have interfered and at the costs of many, many lives joined the allied forces and made us win the war ??? Where would democratie and freedom be today?
And yes, in this case also: the Germans were and are not to blame: it's the fantics
If Europe and the USA would have interfered and would "have taken out" the extreme fanatic leaders, before the start of the war, it might have prevented a horrific world war II and with that saved millions of lives.
But Andyc is right: let's get back to trample and leave politics etc. for other boards.
