Shape shifting Chapter 5 {Status - Released - September 19th 09}
Lauren kicks me under the table and I fall face first into the filth. This place is disgusting, they haven't washed under this table in years. All you can smell is feet. I start to get so disgusted that I start barking for Lauren to get me out of there. WAHM Lauren kicks me with her foot, "Shut up you stupid dog". I lift my paws up and find that they're completely black. This is going to take ages to clean off! I raise my head up from under the table to see what's going on and find that the restaurant is packed. We could be under this table for ages! I put my head down to mope, but I can't. I try pulling down harder but my head is stuck to the button of the table. I start barking and Lauren looks down to see what the fussing is all about. She says, "You've got a big clump of gum stuck to the top of your head. Great job." before taking out a large pair of scissors and cutting off a big chunk of my hair. I figure that sleeping will make things go faster so I put my head down to rest and Lauren places her feet on-top of it. The waiter walks over "May I take your order?" she asks. That voice, it sounds, so familiar. I peek up from under the table. It's Emily, the one who helped Lauren attempt to kill me. I completely forgot about her. Lauren better not say anything to her. Lauren replies to Emily by asking, "What is the most expensive meal you have here?". Emily says "I don't know exactly but I can check for you." Lauren says loudly "It doesn't matter, just bring it out. My ex is covering it." Lauren and Emily both giggle. Emily then points down under the table and asks "What about the dog, would you like me to bring out anything for him?" Lauren replies, "No, he's fine." Emily reaches down to pet me and a bite her hand. ZAAAAAPPPPP. Lauren electrocutes me. Emily kicks me under the table then walks off. As Lauren starts to eat her meal I search around and notice that she untied my leash. This is perfect, I can make my escape. I start to make a run for it and Lauren doesn't even notice until I'm all the way across the street. I run behind an alley way and transform into a human before Lauren even has time to pull out the shock collar remote. I rip off the collar and start make a run for it. From the corner of my eye I notice Emily getting into her car to go home after a long days work, so I transform into a fly and fly in.
When she gets home I fly into her house without her noticing. Once she starts putting away the dishes I transform back into a dog and run up behind her. I jump up on top of her back and try to bite her, but she lifts me up and throws me across the room. She's pretty strong. Great! She pulls out a knife but I bite her arm and she drops it on the ground. I jump on top of her and start to growl at her threateningly, for all of the pain she's caused me. She looks up and smiles, so I turn around to see what she's smiling about. It's Emily's boyfriend / my best friend Cory, holding a loaded shotgun. Great! This is the end. Who would have ever guessed? I get shot in the head as a dog by my best friend while trying to attack another friend. So I close my eyes and await my grim fate. Then I hear a click and ZAAAAAAPPPP. I open my eyes to see what's happened. What? Cory was laying on the ground, with my shock collar around his neck. I don't get it. I look around and see Lauren holding the remote. I jump on-top of him as Emily screams "NO, why did you shock him?" Lauren looks at me as she says, "I couldn't let him kill Doug." Emily replies by asking, "Lauren, what are you talking about? Doug is dead, remember?" Lauren says, "No, he didn't die, he somehow survived and gained the ability to transform himself into anything." Emily says "Lauren, That doesn't make any sense." Lauren laughs, "Just wait and watch" She then points her finger at me and says, "Cat" So, I transform into a cat. I look down and there is a second cat below me. Cory turned into a cat with me for some reason. Why? Maybe it's because I'm touching him? Maybe If I transform while I'm touching something it transforms too. Emily walks over and picks up Cory. "Awwww, you're so cute." Lauren tells me to transform back into human form, I obey my owners orders and transform back into my native form. Hey, Cory is still a cat. I look around and Lauren has a sadistic look on her face, "Emily, by the looks of it, if Doug is touching something while he transforms, it transforms too and when he transforms back it stays in that form. So Is their anything special you would like Cory to be?" Emily looks down at her bear feet and says, "I was planning on breaking up with him tomorrow anyway and I do need some new socks. Cory was always disgusted by feet. He hated to even look at them. He would never massage my feet or even walk around barefoot. I haven't washed my feet in a while, about a week in fact and they wreak. Oh well, he wont be able to talk, so I wont have to listen to his whining." Lauren then orders me to hold on to Cory while I turn into a pair of socks. I refuse, "I am NOT going to transform my best friend into a pair of socks. What the HELL is wrong with you two? I wouldn't even sentence this fate to my worst enemy, let alone my best friend." Emily walks closer to me with a very kinky expression on her face. What could she be planning? She walks closer, wraps her arms around my head and kisses me. BASH. Emily kicks me in the groin, hard enough to take a wrestler to his knees. "Did I ever tell you that I'm a soccer coach? You'll have to come by and play sometime Doug," Emily says as I fall to my knees in pain. Lauren then attaches the shock collar back onto my neck. ZAAAAAAPPPPPPP ZAAAAAAAAAPPPPPP ZAAAAAPPPPPPPPP. "Alright, alright, I'll do it." I slowly walk over to Cory, barely able to lift one foot due to all of the electricity surging through my body. "Sorry buddy, I just can't take anymore of this." When I finally reach Cory I place my hands softly over his face and transform both of us into two different pairs of socks after whispering quietly into his ear, "Don't worry, I'll be back for you, this is only temporary." The sad fact was that this probably wasn't temporary. Lauren picks up Cory from the floor and throws him over to Emily while I change back into a human. I look down at Cory, feeling ashamed of myself, almost in tears. How could I do this to my best friend? I then turn into a dog again and sit at Lauren feet, looking off at the wall, not able to watch the events that I know are coming up. Emily picks up Cory, looks at him and then puts him on her feet. She walks around the room and then turns to Lauren and asks "Hey, would you and your dog like to come work out with me and the girls at the gym? There are a couple of guys who keep harassing me and my friends. I want you to help me take care of them." Lauren looks down at me, "Sure, we would love to."
