This is a continuation of My Intro, part one...
In the version of reality that Harukawa displays, his alternate and, to me, rightly ordered world, is the way it is because of this single, clear and overwhelming Law of Nature. Simply put, the glorious superiority and power, beauty and majesty of females, who are logically the only power, running and commanding all aspects of life, great and small. By contrast is the other half of the equation, equally necessary to the structure and functioning of their own roles--the weak, diminutive, powerless, subservient males.
One has to start, it seems clear, with that act, that physical, psychological and metaphorical joining, that is apparently the centerpiece of life in this world: the woman placing the face and/or head of the male between herr buttocks, whether she is standing at the sink rinsing the dishes, walking, sitting down or reclining.
It is, on the one hand, a summary of their world, of their respective natures and their innate relationship to one another. It is a constand affirmation by the goddess women of their absolute power, a position of dominance in relation to males so complete that the word dominance seems inadequate. It is a constant reminder and restatement to the males of this fact of Nature, the apparent basic Law of Nature in their world, which defines all things. It is the act by which she continuously maintains the male in the mental and physical state it is his nature and duty to be in.
We see that the male as soft clay, subsumed by her, one can almost see inside his head as all thoughts, all identity, all will, are displaced in this way by her, a blinding light filling his mind with the single image, the single perception, that is her. Body, like mind, utterly without impetus, made perfectly and beautifully limp by her, an automatic yielding so completel as to make him simply pliant, living tribute, any physical motions or actions on his part brought about effortlessly by her, as though he were a marionette.
As part of this central act of their world, it appears that the male is not actually doing nothing, but is continuously performing a function which occupies mind and body fully. In the way bees are designed by Nature to seek out the bright colors of flowers, here a male's lips seem to automatically, instinctually seek out the ring of the female's anus, like a baby seeking its mother's nipple. His mouth firmly sealed against her anus in a perfect circle, his nose just above that he may breathe, what he does is as much a paying of tribute as it is a practical function, continuously licking and cleaning her anus, keeping it moist and fresh, while always inhaling the aroma of this part of her body through his nose.
Of course, in the drawings, we do see boys and men doing other things, but as rhythmic and constant as the tide, this unique act of couple is repeated as the day or the night pass by.
Now, Namio of course drew scenes depicting all different aspects of family and social life, giving us a more complete picture of this world, and in looking at some of these scenes it is very important to remember that every scene Namio drew occurs in the context of the world he's established. Thus, certain scenes which would be shocking, horrific or unacceptable in the real world are apparently normal in that world. I could comment more specifically in this area, as anyone writing a thorough analysis of Harukawa's drawings would have to, but I'm a little reluctant to do so, even on this site, since some of the scenes in question are indeed intense, for one thing, and could imagine that even on this site, were I to offer commentary on them, people might think me genuinely sick or think that I am endorsing things which are inadviseable, abusive or in some cases quite rightly illegal in the real world. And besides, nowadays, who knows what Big Brother will lock you up for?
