Just for all you pro-war people. What the hell is it with you and acting like your the only ones entitled to an opinion on everything. And the use of shithead that much just proves how much ignorance there truly is, i mean take a look in a dictionary, you might find some new words. I'm not pro-war, but I'm not strongly anti-war, but everyone deserves an opinion.

Why is it that everyone who expresses an antiwar opinion feels so threatened when others respond/criticize them? Why are these people so sanctimonious that they think that such criticisms amount to some attack of their right to speak freely?
You know... I'm pro-war (this time). I've responded to numerous people with anti-war views, and I don't recall ever telling anyone to "shut up". In fact, I rather like the debate that stems from opposing views - it's a great way to learn things. Avoiding the debate by criticising those who choose to express opposing views removes that learning opportunity.
Whether or not I agree with your position on the war is not the issue here. The issue is that I am willing to defend your right and others' rights to speak your opinions. However, this doesn't imply that I will agree with any of you, nor does it mean that I will think of or associate with any of you in the same manner that I may have before either of you say whatever any of you say.
Regardless, the consequences of any of us speaking our individual minds are our own to bear individually, and are not anyone else's responsibilities. As such, while you would be justified in becoming belligerent if someone actually restricted your right to speak freely (note - this does not include times that you choose to waive your right voluntarily, such as when entering into a contract to do so - implicitly or explicitly), you are out-of-place to get all fired up that someone may disagree with you or think of you as a lesser person because of the things you choose to say.
Take care,
I have learned not to expect common sense out of the majority of anti-war peaceniks. Jump is the only one that makes any sense whatsoever. Some of my favorites....
Ridiculous death toll figures (760 MILLION innocent people will die this year - Nosferatu)
Amazing Harvard law graduates(the war is illegal - footfanuk)
Incredible denial at the truth (It's a real fog what happen really on the ground - Moby)
Genius claims of country ideologies (Your country is a facist country - feetlover)
Asinine paranoid fantasies (cabinet of gangsters - trenton talbot)
Interesting wishful thinking (you will be hunted out of the Arabic world - Jump)
Terrific intellectual grasp of American political structure (america is now controlled by corporates.there is no democraccy - anamica)
And finally....the most accurate statement of all (Time will show if the Americans have better eyes then the Europeans - Jump)
I put my money on the eyes of America...

OK, I`ve read all the posts in this thread, and I ask the anti-war folks one question..
Have you EVER been in the middle of a shooting war??
A war where someone is shooting at YOU??
I have,and It`s no fun,belive me.
I was there as a medic trying to SAVE lives, and after some a.. hole tried to KILL ME,All I wanted was to pick up a rifle and shoot back.
I was 17 years old,and I almost s..t my pants, after coming under live fire with REAL bullets.
I went into the war a pacifist, but came out of it,wanting to kill my enemy.
I watched as friends of mine were ripped apart by REAL bullets.
I watched them dance the dance of DEATH,as machine gunners pounded round after round into their bodies.
My whole family is/was involved with war, people just trying to preserve another nation freedom (including France),and died for their love of freedom of many countries.
I get tired of reading the BULLSHIT postings of people who have NEVER been in their contries military, nor had someone shooting at them, trying to KILL them.
I`ve been there,done that.

Both sides of the same coin as far as I can see.
And I'm really getting tired getting swarmed by these people on my way to work, both anti-war and pro-war.

And that is what war is all about.
And that's part of the reason we should all strive to avoid wars in the future. Because it changes the lives of everyone it touches.
There are no good wars but they are a necessary evil in the shaping of human society.

i've been shot, stabbed (severaL times), and beaten within inches of my Life (twice)..(i didn't shit myseLf but i did Lose controL of my bLadder, and bLed heaviLy from the kidneys).. aLthough i never served in the miLitary. not that this has any reLevence here...
but now i'm curious how you feeL about "vets for peace" for exampLe... (a group that raised a big stink here in boston.. not because they wanted to bLock traffic, but because they wanted to be heard as vets; vets against the war)
quite frankLy, i'm sick of aLL the peopLe who've never served, being so gung-ho. i'm sick of peopLe saying, "they're over there fighting for your right to protest" so you shouLdn't be protesting.
i'm sick of seeing informerciaLs for christy Lane. i'm sick of the aggressive panhandLers outside my work.

I didn't meet them but I did see mothers, whose sons have been shipped off to Iraq come out and protest on both sides of the fence. Blocking off traffic don't matter to me cause hey, I'm in no hurry to get to work. LOL
But it's just annoying when its the same thing over and over.

Thats what I'm talking about.
It's the same things being shouted over and over again.
Statistically speaking, the ones on both sides who are the loudest, are usually the ones who really have no idea what they are talking about.
Get the loudest on both sides into a battlefield and they are usually the ones who crawls out of the fox holes last.
The loudest "gung-ho war ones" are some of the first ones you will see who falls victim to shell shock.
The all about "saving innocent lives ones" are the first ones to take off screaming and abandon a wounded comrade or civilian in the field of fire.

"Napsterdude" of course everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. But lets face it The anti-war people are more out spoken then Pro-war people.
Meaning it seems like Anti-war people rather us Pro-war people have no opinions or keep it to ourselves while they protest left and right. The question is what good is protesting doing??\
It`s not going to stop the war so why the fuck even bother protesting during the war? If you`ve noticed all the anti-war protesting started after the war,If you was going to start protesting it should have been before war started .It`s idiotic to start now"Oh Wait" i get it the 10 minutes of fame for the protestors to be on TV

I've never been in a war myself, nor do I care to be. But I have a great respect for those who will risk their lives to protect us and others.
I've noticed that most of the anti-war protestors here locally (Houston,TX area - they had a big thing on our local news one night) were between 18-30yrs old.
What the FUCK do they know about war?? They sit on their college campuses (which they have because of the people who fought for their freedom to go there) and bitch about how its all wrong. They want to go overseas and "talk it out". Sometimes its just best to shoot someone! :D

Take care,
Just let me say few things:
1. this is the FLAMING PIT so don't take it as a personal attack.
you can say whatever you like, whenever you like.
2. If someone doesn't agree with YOUR opinion, you prefer
to say that you are being shut up, give your logical explanation.
3. many of these anti-war shitheads, sit at their comfortable
homes, don't realy give a shit about anyone else, but just
want to show how "human" they are.
these are ONLY WORDS .
4. Look at all those who have been against the war in Iraq.
where have they been when we all saw THE JOY OF THE
IRAQI POEPLE, and after we saw the horrors of SADDAM's
rule, did any of these "beautiful" poeple say, ok we were
wrong? we didn't know?
5. Germany and France for example opposed the war because
as you can probably see, they lost billions of $, so the real
reason was MONEY, ALOT OF MONEY, so don't give me this
antiwar bullshit.
6. never forget september 11th

War is a means an not an end in itself !
Some wars like Vietnam which some thought were failures was infact necessary to prevent the communist domino theory.
Now if there is no war, we will have N.Koreas and saddams doing their own thing.
so we need a global policeman ! The US just decided to volunteer.
coz the other org's like the UN do absolutely nothing.
