This may seem an odd one for the flame pit, but I just wanted to say thanks to all who advocated it, and created it, and to Thound for making, in my view, entirely the right use of it, in respect of the trample forums.
I may well visit the pit, enraged, from time to time - I am really grateful for that opportunity. But I am also unbelievably grateful for the opportunity to be able to choose.
I love this forum, throughout, and I think that the community, as a whole, has a fantastic spirit. I would never, ever, want to see views (of any kind) being inaccessible, since I believe with every ounce of me that the only way anything can ever be properly examined is to properly examine it, warts and all.
I know that it is selfish to want to be able to keep the private/fantasy/sexual side of my life separate from the realities for other people. But then I never said I was nice, only anal.
I have often been tempted, on non-fantasy occasions, after seeing the news and so on, to stick my head right into the flames. So thank you again, for kindling them.
